Jen Abounader's last name is pronounced "A'-bow-nader," similar to "Terminator" which is something she gets a lot. Her music is expressive and acoustic-based, covering such diverse topics as frost, love that has been both lost and found, Moses, and Calliopes. Major influences on Jen's musical style include Elliott Smith, Ben Folds Five, Neutral Milk Hotel, many many other bands, and, of course, Queen.

It has been 7 years since she switched from bass to guitar, which is where you will find her one music theory/history degree and half of a library science masters degree later. Since then, she has played extensively around upstate NY and the capital region and released an album and a few singles. She is currently working on recording her second album, which she is doing in her apartment with the help of many of her friends (some of whom own theramins and mbiras).
